Corporate Valuations Photo Shoot

August 28, 2009

Cary and his business partner needed some "head shots" of themselves for their new web site. So I was volunteered to be the "official" photographer. People have the false impression that I am a professional photographer because I work for a camera store and have my own digital SLR camera. This is a common mistake most "non photo" people make. I will set the record straight - I am in no way any where close to being any kind of pro photographer. I look at awesome photography almost every day and although my stuff is better than the average "snap shot", it's not close to being great like some I see. I wish I had more photography basics background. Maybe someday I will have the time to focus on it, no pun intended.

Anyway, here is one of the shot's I took. It's pretty funny because they were screwing around and so not what they were wanting.

Construction Carson

July 25, 2009
Went to Lowe's for "Build and Grow" kids workshop where they get the whole uni; goggles, tool belt, name tags, and all the tools needed to build the craft of the day. This is right up Carson's alley as she loves to be in costume for any event she is partaking in. Colin also went but was NOT going to get caught in a pic with the garb on! Abby Crowson, Carson and Max Crowson are not as shy. Great kids to hang with, as well as their cool parents, Renee and Todd!

Oceanside, Washington

Love these two photos'. Colin and Grandpa have a connection going. Colin loves Grandpa's independent side - answering only to himself.

Grandpa not liking all the walking in the sand found himself a spot to sit down. A perfect time to pull the camera out and click away! Memories in making!

Grandma and kids playing in the sand.

Oceanside, Washington

It was a really nice beach where we stayed, which was good because the house we stayed at was a pit! Dad was very excited because he got the place practically for free. Unfortunately it didn't turn out as good. But we made the best of the situation. We played games and the kids were really good and enjoyed being with their grandparents and uncle!

Below was going to be the kids camp fire and Carson was looking forward to cooking up some marshmallows! But shortly after completion it started to rain pretty heavily. Carson was bummed to say the least.

Other side of the table. Colin took this nice shot of Carson and I. Lots of rare shots during this trip.

On another note, I haven't had the opportunity to spend much time with my parents on account of "people" always being around. It was really nice to have them essentially to myself for once. I look forward to time alone with my mother now that her situation has changed. I'm excited to have the time to build a relationship with her again.... I miss my mom!

A rare pic with Grandma

It's been some time since I've posted anything here. Busy, busy, busy. Not to mention the many sites and devices I have to update! I'll try and be better. Now that summer is coming to a close I will post all the fun stuff we have done the last three months!

This pic is from our first outing during the summer. We went to Oceanside, Washington, with my parents and brother for the first time, the weekend of July 10, 2009
. Here we are sitting waiting for our lunch. Colin is the family snuggler. You can always count on a good hug or snuggle from him!
